Philomena T. (Damiano) Gogal, 94, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Monday, November 15, 2021 in the St. Luke’s Hospital Geriatric Center, Coaldale. She was the wife of the late Victor E. Gogal who passed away September 1, 2009. Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Virginia (Bruni) Damiano. She was employed at the Defense Plant in New York during WWII and then as a hairdresser for over 55 years in New Jersey, New York, and Nesquehoning. She attended Nesquehoning High School and then graduated from the Beauty Academy in New Brunswick, NJ. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nesquehoning and now a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens and Golden Agers of Panther Valley.

Surviving are a daughter Ann Zabroski of Nesquehoning, a son Victor and his wife Claudia (Chesney) of Hometown; brothers Baptist Damiano and his companion Rose of Ocean View, DE and Anthony Damiano of Nesquehoning; sisters Josephine Oliveria and Virginia Mele both of Nesquehoning; grandchildren Renee and her husband Fred Cerimele, Brian Gogal, and Matt Gogal; granddaughter-in-law Stacey Zabroski; great grandchildren Megan, Nicholas, Sarah, Maria, Richard, Sophia, Zachary and Adam; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister Michelina Eremus; brother Joseph Damiano; son-in-law Ronald Zabroski; and a grandson Richard Zabroski.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of her family and friends. Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Online condolences at www.blazoskyfh.com.
