Paul P. Staruch
1927-2021
Paul P. Staruch, 94, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 03, 2021 in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Blanche (Rumel) Staruch who passed away February 1985. Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Peter and Helen Staruch. He was employed as a tool and die maker for Western Electric and AT&T Companies until retiring. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Lansford Little League for over 50 years and was a member of the former East End AA. He was also a member of the former St. Michael Catholic Church and the former St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, both in Lansford and now he is a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley. Paul enjoyed watching sporting events, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter Sharon Christopher and her husband Anthony of Mission Viejo, CA; a son Thomas Staruch of Lansford; grandchildren Cale and Sophia; great grandchildren Riley and Bailey; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a baby daughter; sisters Mary Staruk and Susan Kavusak; a brother John Staruk; and his companion Phyllis Novotny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 in St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, PA with Rev. Robert George officiating. Military interment will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Summit Hill. Call Thursday night 6-8 P.M. and Friday morning 10-10:30 A.M. in the Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home, 340 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Lansford Little League c/o the funeral home.
