Nancy Ann Lorchak, 77, of Coaldale, entered into rest Saturday, September 2, 2023 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus. She was the wife of the late John Lorchak who passed away December 22, 1994. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Macenka) O’Boril. She was employed by the Coaldale State Hospital in the Revenue Department, the Allentown State Hospital as a purchaser, and then worked for the Department of Correction SCI Mahanoy as a Record Specialist, working for 31 years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until her retirement. She was a graduate of the last class of Coaldale High School, Class of 1964 and furthered her education and graduated from the Ford Business School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Coaldale where she was a member of the church Counsel, church Choir, church Secretary, and was a church Reader. Nancy previously served as Coaldale Borough Secretary and Treasurer and was also a member of the Coaldale Zoning Board.

Surviving are a daughter Larisa Verta and her companion Andy of Nesquehoning; son John and his wife Holly of Reading and David and his fiancée Nichole of Hometown; grandchildren Alexander, Dimitri, and Luke.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, 217 1st St. Coaldale, PA with V. Rev. James Weremedic officiating, Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Summit Hill. Call Saturday morning 9-11:00 A.M. in the Church.
