Janice M. Maradeo

1955 - 2021

Janice M. “Jan” Maradeo, 66, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Monday, October 11, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Pete J. Maradeo. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on May 10th of this year. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Audrey (Memory) Niedermeyer and  Joseph Pradel of Florida. She was employed as a teaching assistant for the Panther Valley School District and more recently the Behavior Health Associates for many years. She was an avid blood donor. Jan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but most importantly her grandchildren, who meant the whole world to her.   

Surviving along with her husband are daughters Lisa (Bohannon) Duke and her husband Paul and Marie (Maradeo) Garelick and her husband Tim; sons Chad Bohannon and his wife Jill and Matthew Maradeo and his wife Jennifer; sisters Karen Holben and Diane Pradel; brothers Robert, Joseph, James, and William Pradel and Rocky Niedermeyer; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Macy and a sister Sandy Niedermeyer.

A memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning. In lieu of flowers and cards, the family asks that you say a prayer for all the Cancer patients in the world. The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
