Fred A. Cerimele
1935-2021
Fred A. “Zeppy” Cerimele, 85, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus. He was the husband of Marguerite (Campo) Cerimele. They celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary in June of last year. Born in Nesquehoning, he was the son of the late Michael and Philomena “Mayme” (Parano) Cerimele. He was employed as an assemblyman for Mack Trucks in Allentown and then worked for the Panther Valley School District as a bus driver until retiring. Zeppy also worked with his family in the family owned Cerimele Catering business and then helped his son in his New Columbus Pizza and Catering Company. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1953. He was a member of the former Our of Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and now a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Jim Thorpe. He was also a member of the New Columbus Fire Company and the Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008.
Surviving along with his wife are daughters Theresa Stanko and her husband David of Nesquehoning and Marie Carroll and her husband Michael of Jim Thorpe; sons Fred and his wife Renee (Zabroski) of Allentown and Anthony and his wife Marianne (Perrone) of Pittston; brother-in-law James Campo of Summit Hill; grandchildren David, Rachael, Laura, Zachary, and Samuel Stanko, Katelyn, Megan, and Tricia Janowiak, and Michael Carroll, Dominic and his wife Kara, Maria, Nick, and Sophia Cerimele, and Nina and Adrianna Cerimele; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by sisters Angela DiDomizio and Mary Zonca and brothers Pasquale “Paddy” and Michael “Schmick” Cerimele.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. in The Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieu, 15 East Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning with Rev. Allen Hoffa officiating. Military Interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a later date. All visitors attending the services are required to wear masks and follow all CDC regulations. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his name to The Shrine of St. Therese, c/o 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, Pa 18240. The Joseph S.
